The Luangwa Valley is considered to be one of Africa’s prime wildlife destinations and completely defines the Dark Continent’s beauty. Zambia is filled with seasonal sand rivers, many of which flow into the spectacular Luangwa River. The Luangwa River is surrounded with lush vegetation and runs down the centre of the Valley, which lies between the North and South Luangwa National Parks. The Valley is known for its healthy bird numbers and is home to high concentrations of wildlife with an overabundance of hippo to be found along the water’s edge.Hunting predominantly takes place in the Valley with camps in the Nyampala and Mukungule regions. Buffalo hunting in the area has a very high success rate, with some exceptional trophies in the mid-forty-inch range being taken. Clients usually encounter multiple Buffalo sightings during their Safari, which allows you to be selective to some extent.
